Dance studio shoot

The dance studio shoot was great for me as a photographer because it teaches you to work interactively with the dancers. It also speeds up your camera skills in the fact that you have to be quick to capture the dancers in different positions. It improves the skill of changing positions of your camera and yourself to get different and better quality pictures. To prepare for the dance shoot, before i went down to take pictures of the dancers i already set the aperture on my camera to be as close as i could to perfection. This is so that when i got into the room i was fully prepared and so i could i could shoot as many photos as possible without wasting any time. I like the photo below because it portrays the essence of space. By shooting this photo in landscape and having the dancer in the side of the picture it makes the photo look well composed. The lighting was really important in these pictures because having the correct lighting made the difference between a good and a bad photo. The windows let a lot of light into the lens of the camera so i didn't need flash on my shoot. Instead i needed the correct aperture to let the correct amount of light in, however at the same time it needed to be quick enough to capture the dancers in certain positions.
